Technology and the web are ever-changing and it’s important to keep up with trends. Regularly listening to podcasts can be a great way to learn from industry leaders.

Keir Whitaker, Ryan Carson and  Michael Coos chat about the recent launch of Google Plus.

Apparently Google Plus a new Social Network  is giving Facebook some competition.  The + one button is integrated like the like button for Facebook, however Google uses the information to evaluate page rank.
Per the speakers, Google Plus will be also integrating Gmail with the new social network in the future.

Friends are Circles on Google Plus and can be sorted in special groups.

Google Plus offers Stream – to share information to those in your circle, also has a place called Hangout were you can video hang out with those in your circle.  Also offers a variety of apps, Calendar, media sharing and much more.

One of the biggest differences is that Facebook is driven by a large group of people that do not give a hoot about SEO and therefore to get them to convert to a Google Plus is not likely to happen.

Web Publishing has arrived for the masses!

Unlike the Securities License, the Freedom of Speech License was handed down to anyone with Internet Access and Big Goals!  Some will take that License and make wonderful things happen with it.  Others will take that License and just sit back on the side lines and watch and wait to see what happens…and then of course we have those whom won’t get off the couch!

Although there are many aspects of blogging that can be seen as passive income – for example, advertising on your website can earn you some income while you are asleep on vacation or playing golf.  In fact you don’t really have to keep working at it to earn some income once the sites are set up.  But blogs that stay still, do not get cared for or are obviously built with automated or ripped-off content go down hill quick!  When no one is interested in what you have to say, you will not earn an income as a Blogger / Journalist / Internet Marketer of the new Millennium.  Soo, you might be on the right track, but you will get run over if you just sit there!

So how do you earn Income from Blogging?

• Google Ad-sense (similar programs through bing and yahoo)
• Affiliate Marketing
• Freelance writer
• Building List
• Membership Sites
• Selling Downloadable Digital Products
• Provide marketing know how to off line business; Local Gym, Restaurant or Golf Course, etc.

Internet Marketing is growing in leaps and bounds.  Everyday around our own circle people are making there first purchases online.  Consumers online are doing research on products and services before they buy.   People are looking online to answers to solve there problems.

You don’t need anyone’s permission, college education or a stacked up resume to be a Successful Blogger.  With your Freedom of Speech License, take a topic of interest that you will never be bored with AND can benefit others and start Blogging!
